Image Index > Age-Equal Adolescent Interactions > Youth Opens His Mantle To Let Another Fondle His Privates

This wine cooler displays four courting pairs in a continuous wrap-around sequence: each pair represents a different level of interaction. Here, two age-equal youths are represented in what appears tobe a scene of reciprocal attraction. The beloved wears a sumptuous red mantle (a love gift?), which he opens up to reveal his body to his wooer, who reaches out to touch his penis. He shows his interest by his fully reciporcated gaze and by touching the wooer's arm. These figures are labelled with the names Hegerthos and Adriskos ("little man").
