Image Index > Age-Equal Adolescent Interactions > Eros Flies Between Musical Boys

An Eros flies between a boy holding a lyre and another longer haired boy who holds something in his hand (perhaps a purse) and has his mouth open, as if singing. All the figures are naked. The other side of the cup shows a similar scene, only with the youth at the right holding a fillet instead of a purse. Could the suggestion be that musical collaboration was a context for youthful love?
