Image Index > Eros > Woman Crowns A Frustrated Eros As 2 Athletes Interact

A woman crowns a winged Eros, who looks out at the audience, chin in hand, with an air of puzzlement and frustration. To the woman's right, a naked youth looks intently at another. Are the woman and Eros frustrated because the young athelete is more interested in others of his own gender than in her? Note that the athlete on the far right looks down modestly, as if to indicate that he is the object of the other youth's admiration.
