Image Index > Schoolroom Scenes > Youths Teach Boys Under A Man's Supervision

DESCRIPTION
Youths instruct boys in a schoolroom setting. Music and writing are both taught one-on-one. Note the lyre and book-rolls hanging from the wall. The bearded man on the right may bethe head of the school, supervising the instruction. This scene shows that even relatively young men could be involved in boys' instruction. Note the inscription, "Eigodamas is beautiful,"
