Image Index > Athletic Scenes > Youth offers crown to another

Two youths so equal in age, stature and appearance that they could be twins. Each is on a pedestal, but the lyre-player is slightly higher, and rests in a self-confidnt contapposto pose, looking straight into the eyes of the lower youth, who appears ready to offer him a crown, but shily lowers his face, as if too timid to gaze directly at the musician he admires.
