Image Index > Banquet Scenes > Man And Youth On Couch Playing Kottabos

A man and youth are seated together on a banquet couch playing kottabos, a game that involves throwing at a target wine lees out of a cup. The lyre-playing youth on the couch on the left gazes in admiration at the naked serving boy, who opens his body up in a relaxed position. This suggests that admiring the bodies of young boys was one of the pleasures of a symposium.
