Image Index > Courtship Scenes > Men With Gifts Compete For Youth

Three men court a single, well-developed, muscular youth. One fondles the youth's genitals and touches his chin, bending down to draw his face near. Another touches the youth's buttocks with a finger. The figures with fighting cocks on each side are probably servants. Are the dogs also meant as love gifts, like the cocks? Note that one dog's tail curves upward and meets the stooping man's hindquarters, as if to give him a satyr's tail.
