Image Index > Courtship Scenes > 3 Mixed Courtship Pairs

Three courtship pairs. The wooer in the center is bearded but the other two wooers are youths little different in age or stature from their objects. Two of the admired youths hold something in their hand, either a flower or a tidbit. Note how the youth on the right holds it up to his nose to sniff. The eye-contact seems most direct and reciprocal in the two age-equal pairings.
