Like the current player, the new site contains listening comprehension exercises taken from Arab television broadcasts that are suitable for use by Arabic learners at all proficiency levels.

The new site contains the same features as the current player in an easier-to-use format. Users are no longer required to download specialized software; the entire site is web-based and currently contains more than 200 video passages, with more to be added at a later date.

This site and the Aswaat Arabiyya software player will remain online until September 1, 2008, after which time it will no longer be accessible. However, we encourage all users to begin exploring the new site, with its enhanced capabilities and improved interface, as soon as possible.
