Zoologischer Garten/Zoo Train Station: A central transport facility in West Berlin during the Cold War, it lost importance with the launching of larger central station in 2006 but retains its place in popular culture.

    Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche/Emperor Wilhelm Memorial Church: It is located in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm. Architect Egon Eiermann built a striking modern new church surrounding the ruins of the original 1895 neoromanesque structure. It contains relics given by the British and the Russians as symbols of the reconciliation between the three countries that were once at war.

    Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe): Located on Tauentzienstraße in Berlin, it is the largest department store in Europe. With over 60,000 square meters of selling space and more than 380,000 articles available, it attracts 40,000 to 50,000 visitors every day. Founded in 1905 by Adolf Jandorf, designed by Emil Schaudt, the building has changed hands numerous times but its name has retained the popular abbreviation of KaDeWe.

Kurfüstendamm: The Kurfürstendamm, known locally as the Kudamm, is one of the most famous avenues in Berlin. The street takes its name from the former Kurfürsten/Electors of the Holy Roman Empire. This very broad, long boulevard can be considered the Champs-élysées of Berlin, full of luxury shops, houses, hotels and restaurants, famous designers and car manufacturers' show rooms. Starting near Bahnhof Zoo and the Zoologischer Garten, by the ruins of Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, it runs through Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Separated after WWII by the division of the city, the Kurfürstendamm remained the leading commercial street in West Berlin. It has retained and even enjoyed enhanced prominence since unification.
