The Zukunft is still published today, and celebrated its centennial in 1992. The journal had a socialist program and helped intellectually nourish generations of radical Jews. Avrom Liesen (1872-1938), pictured to the left, was editor from 1913 to his death in 1938. He was a well known poet who turned the journal into a leading political and literary journal. |
