Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry

Having made a name for himself as a great patriot during the American Revolution, Patrick Henry's lack of support for the proposed Constitution was troublesome to many. He refused to attend the Constitutional Convention of 1787, fearing that it would do away with the Articles of Confederation. Henry was outspoken during the ratification process, decrying the lack of a bill of rights.
