Born Again (Barbara Jordan - 4:32)

On September 17, 1987, former U.S. Representative Barbara Jordan testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in opposition to the controversial nomination of Robert Bork to the U.S. Supreme Court. In this excerpt she uses her early political experience with inequitably drawn state legislative districts in Houston, Texas to illustrate the importance of the Supreme Court's role in defending individual liberties.
