Immigration Protests 2006

Sometimes people who do not feel like they can get directly involved in the political process choose to gather and protest as a group in an effort to bring attention to their cause. In the spring of 2006 as Congress considered legislation regarding immigration reforms hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to protest some of the proposals. This demonstration in Los Angeles was attended by over 500,000 individuals.
