Party Appeals in Congressional Campaign Ads, 1984 (0:30)

Some election years produce intense national party campaigns for control of Congress. The party out of power appeals to voters to throw the majority party out. This 1984 Republican Party ad tries to persuade voters that a Democratic House would increase their taxes, so they would be better off voting Republican. Democrats retained their majority.
