These documents are based on internal links which highlight simultaneously a Hebrew sentence, the same sentence in transcription, and again in English translation. At this point, we offer a series of chapters from the Hebrew Bible, divided into short segments for easy viewing. Segments from the same chapter are linked to one another.

How to use the pages: Point the cursor to a Hebrew verse. The program will automatically higlight that verse in all three modes. If you want to hear the verse read aloud, click on it.
Note that the reading is done verse by verse, and is not meant to provide a flowing oral rendition of the chapter or the paragraph.
In the transcription, if the stress falls on a syllable other than the last one, it is indicated by a bold-faced letter.

Important: If you are accessing the documents for the first time, you need to download the shockwave plug-in, install it in your web browser and only then return to this page. Be patient when you download a document-- a couple of seconds may pass before the document is fully visible.
