The Modern Hebrew project at the Linguistics Research Center began in 1998. With support from the University of Texas Vision Plan, a research team headed by Esther Raizen began creating and disseminating Hebrew tutorials, documents, and a number of Web-based tools intended for use by students and scholars of Hebrew language and linguistics and others interested in the revival of Hebrew and the development of national languages.

Hebrew Language

A large body of instructional materials has been developed at the University of Texas since 1995. It includes two books, Modern Hebrew for Beginners and Modern Hebrew for Intermediate Students, and supporting multi-media components. The computer tutorials and other online materials can be found at the Hebrew Language at the University of Texas site.

Hebrewer version 3.0 is now available. As RAMBI (Index of Articles in Jewish Studies) has been made available online, our Hebrew Bibliography project has been discontinued.
