Music in the Hebrew Language Classroom: Activity Suggestions

Created by Esther Raizen, The University of Texas at Austin

This page links to a variety of music activities, intended to reinforce concepts, vocabularies, and good pronunciation and diction in the Hebrew classroom.
The basic assumption behind the page is that music is a valuable tool the foreign language classroom, and that introducing it into the class routine diminishes anxieties, breaks monotonous activities, and encourages creativity in the target language as well as assisting in internalization of new material.

Each activity is provided in the form of text and musical scores, which can be played with the Scorch plugin. The plugin is free and easy to download and install.

For a short discussion of the role of music in the foreign language classroom, check this page.
