The Indigenous Studies graduate portfolio was founded in the fall of 2007 with the twin goals of preparing students to work with Indigenous communites and for employment in the academy. The interdisciplinary program provides university-wide recognition of the work of professors and graduate students in the field; establishes a community of scholars dedicated to the field; and facilitates the university-wide coordination of events such as conferences and visits by activists, authors, scholars, and other speakers. Please refer to our calendar for information about campus and local events, and we encourage you to notify the Director or members of the Executive Committee about events that should be on it.
