Media Store
The Liberal Arts ITS Media Store sells audio material for use as supplementary material for
foreign language and other University courses.
General Information Location: MEZ 2.302A
Hours: 8 am - 5 pm daily, Monday to Friday when classes are
in session.
Payment: Cash and Personal Checks, No Credit Cards.
Returns: Exchanges for defective merchandise only.

CD-ROM and Audio Cassette Sales Foreign language classes at the University often require additional audio material as a
supplement to the textbook; the Media Store sells this audio material on audio cassette and CD-ROM when
permitted by the copyright holder.
Students should consult their instructors or syllabi for the specific audio sets specified for their courses. A
list of currently available audio sets, along with the number of cassettes/CD-ROMs is available at the Media
Store. Current prices are as follows:

Audio content is provided on data CD-ROMs in standard MP3 format. MP3 players are readily available on both
Macintosh and Windows computer platforms. In certain circumstances, the audio on CD-ROMs may be made available
as an Audio CD only.
Instructors that wish to make audio sets available for sale in the Media Store or available online should contact
Audio Services.
Online Access
Several audio sets have been made available online using streaming media. Students can access these audio sets
online at:
Available audio sets, specific software requirements, and instructions are available on the website. Students
within the utexas.edu domain (all labs, dorms, telesys dialup, and public access connections on the UT Austin
campus) can freely access this content. Students wishing to access this content from outside the utexas.edu
domain must obtain a login and password from their instructor or the LAITS
Computer Lab.
Equipment Checkout
The LAITS Media Store checks out some equipment to faculty (including their TAs) in the College of Liberal Arts.
Equipment available for checkout includes: slide projectors, mini hand-held tape recorders, tape players, data
projectors, speakers, CD players, microphones, 13" TV/VCRs, combo DVD/VCR player, and a VCR. Please contact
the Media Store staff for more information.
