Cabling Infrastructure
Cable Plant   Burdine Hall's cabling plant consists of original Category 3 risers patched to Category 3 horizontal distribution cables in closets on each floor. Approximately 30% of the cable plant is this original cabling. The remainder of the cabling on the 1st, 2nd, and portions of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, consist of home-run Category 5/5e cables.
Installation Date   New switches were installed in January 2006.
NOC Connection   Burdine is connected to the NOC via dual-homed single-mode fiber.
