I am pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for Liberal Arts Instructional
Technology Grants for the 2008-09 academic year.

Submission Deadline: 12:00 Noon on TUESDAY, APRIL 1, 2008
If you have an idea for using websites, images, audio/video recordings or
computer technology in your teaching, you should consider requesting a Liberal
Arts Instructional Technology Grant. Funding, technical assistance, and design
collaboration are available for a wide range of projects, including:
Eligible costs include, but are not limited to:
- Salary support for faculty for one Summer 2009 session (up to 1/6th of
9-month salary)
- Up to one year part-time wages for undergraduate or graduate assistants
- Project-specific computer hardware/software purchases and upgrades
- The purchase and installation of multimedia equipment
- Renovations, including electrical, lighting, furniture, and architectural
changes

Faculty members are also asked to provide copies of submitted proposals to their
Chairs for inclusion in the department's technology Vision Statement.
The online proposal form has a feature to allow users to email electronic
copies of their proposals to their Chairs and also print hard copies of
submissions.
No proposals will be considered for funding unless they have been referenced in
departmental Vision Statements. Chairs will receive an independent email with
instructions regarding the format of the Vision Statement.
