Lalo Guerrero
Eduardo "Lalo" Guerrero (singer/songwriter) was born December 24, 1916 in Tucson, Arizona.
 
He became famous with his song "Cancion Mexicana" which was recorded by the late ranchera great Lucha Reyes.
 
Some of Lalo's other big hits were:  "Barrio Viejo", "Chicas Patas Boogie", Muy Sabroso Blues, and "El Chicano."
 
Lalo received several lifetime achievement awards from organizations such as Nosotros and United Farm Workers.
 
In 1991, Lalo Guerrero was inducted into the Tejano Music Award's Hall of Fame.
 
His former grade school in Tuscon, Arizona, was renamed after him.
