This is a picture from inside a packed subway car where the passage of time was clearly designated by the red and green lights representing past and future stops. I included this under "Time" because I found the Beijing subway system to be incredibly efficient given the number of people who must use it everyday. It quite often saves time over driving a car due to the excessive traffic on the roads.

I think this is a great picture! The subway system was very efficient and seemed to be much faster than driving because of all the traffic. Even with all the language barriers, we were all able to navigate this system pretty seamlessly. The picture Megan took shows the diagram that helped us figure out when we would need to get off, so we were prepared to push our way through. It makes sense that so many locals choose to use the subway to get around town since it saves so much of their time.
