Sadly, I'm not even trying to impress with photography skills in this shot, the pollution is that bad! This signifies time for two reasons. One, these boats are traditional and timeless. Much of Hangzhou itself is quite quaint and scenic, in fact many Chinese vacation in Hangzhou. Second, the pollution has distorted such a scenic image. It's a shame, because I wonder how bad this photo would look twenty, even ten years from now?
