This photo shows a male elementary school teacher at the Jiading school we visited. I noticed that when we walked through the school, there generally seemed to be an equal number of male and female school teachers. To me this highlighted some of the previously discussed equality advantages of communism that prevented deep-seeded gender biases from forming in Chinese culture
