Description

On the shores of Westlake in the Chinese vacation city of Hangzhou, you can see the bride and groom dressed in White to take wedding photos. We must have seen 15 different couples that day, all wearing white and white. Traditionally, Chinese brides would wear the lucky color red, but as more and more Western traditions are adopted, it has become very popular for Chinese brides to wear white. I thought this was a very interesting illustration of western influence on a traditionally closed Chinese culture.

One common thing to American

One common thing to American culture is the grooms appeared to be often tired from waiting while the bride did her number of poses.
