Description

'Here Antoine Fonlupt, 24 years old, was cowardly assassinated on March 18, 1944.' He was a member of the FTP (Francs-tireurs et partisans organization of the French Resistance). Note the cross of Lorraine, a symbol of the French resistance. This plaque in the largest 'place' in Lyon reminds passersby of the horrors of WWII and those 'mort pour la France.'
