Description

This picture demonstrates how the French utilize their free time. As opposed to what one might see in the United States, the concept of time is interpreted much more liberally in France, where the people are often seen lounging in parks or chatting over coffee in the middle of the work day. The French attribute a greater importance to the quality of their day-to-day lives, which they believe should not be oversaturated with long work hours confined in an office or a classroom. To the French "le temps libre" is not to be tampered with. Therefore, this gentleman pictured here is a fine example of such. He is taking a nap in the middle of the park on a Thursday.
