This is a photo of a barbecue just outside of Fourvière, a large basilica in Lyon. This is completely illegal, but the French do it anyway. Going against authority is a common sentiment in France. The chefs at the barbecue made jokes about how illegal their actions were. One man even donned a military hat as a joke!
