Description

The impact that religion has on a culture is enormous and can help mold entire societies. This picture of Napoleon's tomb, decorated with a large Christian cross, is just one of many examples of Christianity's effect on Napoleon and his ruling of his empire. Though Napoleon was known as not having any serious religious affiliations, the power and influence of the Catholic church at the time was enough to cause him to have his tomb adorned with Catholic symbols and artwork. Catholicism, therefore, helped to organize Napoleon's society so much so that he himself was equally effected by its prominence.
