A Note on this Cross Reference

As one can see, the text in Chapter Ten refers to pleasures running undistinguishably into pains, whereas the note in Chapter Five to which we are referred by Bentham speaks of a pain of privation running undistinguishably into a positive pain. The latter is plausible but the former, it would seem, less so.
