Labour not always undesirable


I have before urged that labour is not necessarily to be regarded as something disagreeable; all that we can infer from the fact that any kind of labour has to be paid for is that some out of the whole number of persons required to furnish all the labour that society is prepared to purchase, either dislike this labour, or prefer some other kind of labour either for its own sake or for its results.
