Mi nombre es Katherine B.. Soy de Costa Rica, de San José, la capital. Estoy en Austin porque mi esposo está estudiando una maestría. En Costa Rica yo estudiaba. Estudié actuación en la Universidad Nacional. Tengo un hijo, mi hijo tiene casi dos años y es el dueño de mi tiempo ahora. Ahora estoy aprendiendo inglés. Estoy contenta porque voy un poco avanzada ya. Extraño mucho Costa Rica. Extraño más que todo a mi hermana, la comida. Pero me gusta estar acá. Me gusta hacer artesanías. Me gusta mucho actuar. Y creo que eso es todo.

My name is Catherine Bermúdez. I am from Costa Rica, from San Jose, the capital. I am in Austin because my husband is studying his Master’s. In Costa Rica I studied. I studied acting in the National University. I have a son, my son is almost two years old and he owns my time now. Now I am learning English. I am content because I am getting a little advanced already. I miss Costa Rica a lot. I miss my sister more than anything, the food too. But I like to be here. I like to make crafts. I like acting. And I think that’s all.
