Women's Suffrage (1916)

This cartoon depicts the "snowballing" effect of the women's suffrage movement. It started small but over time gathered popular support, in part due to the publication of women's rights newspapers. It culminated in the right to vote for women as embodied in the 19th Amendment to the Constitution in 1920.
