Butterfly Ballot Confusion (Republican Viewpoint)

The presidential election of 2000 was an extremely close and disputed election. Much of the controversy centered on voting procedures in Florida, one example being the "butterfly ballot" which some claimed was intentionally confusing, with the result that voters who intended to vote for Al Gore inadvertently voted for Pat Buchanan.
