OK, well what I can say to you is that whenever you hear about Ecuador you think or one says that the whole country is a jungle. For example, I remember a friend who traveled to some country in Europe and when he came back to school he said that they had asked him, "And where is Ecuador?" and they asked, "Is it in Africa or in some part of Asia?" They had no idea that Ecuador was in South America, in the northwest part of the continent and that it isn't just a tropical climate like a lot of people think but it has a lot of variety. Running through Ecuador is the Andes Mountain range and because of that there are many varieties, many climatic zones, and many geographic areas. For example in the interandean joints, where for example the city of Quito is located, or the city of Cuenca where I am from, there are valleys in between the Andes, in the middle of the Andes Mountains and it's a cold climate, kind of dry. We don't really have a well defined winter, nor a summer, or a fall, or a spring. It is really varied. There are a lot of really pretty, really beautiful mountains. Forests that are in the middle because... in the middle of the Coast and in the middle of the hills which are the mountains I am talking about. It is something completely different. On the Coast, along the shore, we have our beaches that are very pretty, but very hot. We have the interandean mountains. And on the side of the Amazonia flatlands we also have the Ecuadorian Amazon.
