Note: The Prime Rate is given as an annual average. All others are yearly January figures.


The Prime Rate is the interest rate banks charge their best customers.

Treasury bills are issued by the government. Each kind of bill has a different maturity period ranging from thirty days to thirty years.




The Discount Rate is the rate the Federal Reserve charges banks to borrow money.


The Federal Funds Rate is the rate banks charge each other for overnight loans.
