La decena de Torren (Audio)

Corrido de la decena de Torren (1914)

Mil novecientos catorce

presente por la ocasin,

voy a cantarles a Uds.

la decena de Torren.

Viva la estacin del Yelmo

donde hubo concentracin,

Villa concentra sus tropas

para atacar a Torren.

Hablaron por el alambre,

entablan conversacin,

Villa le peda a Velasco

la plaza o la rendicin.

Velasco niega la plaza

y aunque se den de balazos,

porque l se atena a Argumedo,

porque era hombre de sus brazos.

Ordena Francisco Villa

que avancen caballeras

y Robles y Benavides,

Natera por Picardas.

Que avancen caballeras,

y avanzaron con afn;

en Sacramento derrotan

al general Almazn.

Con don Pnfilo Natera

no se vayan a enredar

porque l se atiene a los brazos

de un valiente general.

Ese general valiente

se es don Santos Bauelos

el que est impuesto a pelear

en los planes y en los cerros.

Se arrendaron para atrs

y volvieron otra vez;

el general Ceniceros

peleaba por Avils.

General Rosalo Hernndez

que se present al momento,

Villa lo destina luego

que ataque por Sacramento.

Robles les mand la huida

saliendo por la Piedrera

a todas sus caballeras

all por la Polvorera.

Contreras hace otra huida

saliendo por San Ignacio;

Angeles y Sandoval

tomaron Gmez Palacio.

Al grito de Viva Villa!

peleaban esos guerreros:

Viva la Brigada Robles!

Tambin don Ral Madero!

General Canuto Reyes

que nunca se hace a la orilla

era el jefe de la escolta

del general Pancho Villa.

Ese general Carrillo

que quera tomar la plaza

se hizo de las posiciones

del cerro de Calabazas.

Pero el general Carrillo

mala suerte le ha tocado:

Villa lo ha tomado preso

a Chihuahua consignado.

Se oyen ametralladoras

y fuerte fusilera;

Angeles estaba en Gmez

con toda la artillera.

Toditos esos guerreros

se expusieron a morir,

despus de larga decena

entraron el dos de abril.

Dos coroneles heridos

pues as les convendra;

uno el coronel Rodrguez

y don Mximo Garca.

Ya con sta y me despido

por la sombra de un limn,

ya les cant a mis amigos

la Decena de Torren.

It was the year of 1914

present for the occasion

Im going to sing to you

the decena of Torren.

Long Live the station of Yelmo

where there was a concentration

Villo focused his troops

to attack Torren.

The called through the wire

they strike up a conversation

Villa asks Velasco for

the plaza or a surrender.

Velasco refuses to give up the plaza

and even if they fire shots,

because he relied on Argumedo

because he was his right hand man.

Francisco Villa orders

to advance the calveries

and Robles and Benavides,

Natera forPicardas (Cunning).

Advance the calveries

and they advanced with eagerness;

in Sacrameno they defeated

the general Almazn.

With Mr. Pnfilo Natera

dont get mixed up with

because he relies on the arms

of a brave general.

That brave general

he is Mr. Santos Bauelos

the one that is used to fighting

in the plains and the hills

They backed off

and returned again;

the general Ceniceros

fought for Avils.

General Rosalo Hernndez

who rose to the moment,

Villa will destine soon

that he attack through Sacramento.

Robles ordered an escape

leaving through the Piedrera

to all of his calveries

through the Polvorera.

Contreras makes another escape

leaving through San Ignacio

Angeles and Sandoval

conquered Gmez Palacio.

At the yell of Long Live Villa!

fought those warriors:

Long Live Brigada Robles!

And also Mr. Ral Madero!

General Canuto Reyes

who never runs to the sideslines

he was the leader of the guard

of general Pancho Villa.

That general Carrillo

who wanted to conquer the plaza

took over the positions

of the hill of Calabazas.

But the general Carrillo

bad luck has touched him:

Villa has taken him prisoner

to Chihuahua he has been allocated.

Machine guns are heard

and strong fusilade;

Angeles was in Gmez

with all of the artillery.

Everone of those warriors

we exposed to death,

after a long ten

entered the 2nd of April.

Two wounded colonels

thus thats how theyd Benedit

one the colonel Rodrguez

and Mr. Mximo Garca.

Now with this one I say goodbye

by the shade of a lemon tree,

I have sung to my friends

the ten of Torren.
