Description

The acrobat show in Shanghai was an impressive demonstration of an art that the Chinese are historically known for. The detailed moves proved the the amount of emphasis the Chinese place on discipline and perfection, even among youth, as most performers were quite young and still able to complete Olympic-level stunts. Notably, all performances were group ones, not solos, reflecting the concept of collectivism.

Acrobats

Great picture.  And I agree with the sentiment that the group dynamics seemed to represent the collectivism of the Chinese culture under the "Communist" regime.  Now if only we could've seen them try to ride the bike with 8 people through the traffic in Beijing!

Amazing

One regret I have is missing the acrobat show in Shanghai.. So much to see, so little time.  It's no surprise that the Chinese are known for acrobatics and gymnastics considering the discipine they have in their schools, businesses, and ordinary lives.

I was also sad to miss the

I was also sad to miss the acrobatic show but I'm glad a few people went and I love this picture! It's a great example of their discipline and their commitment to rigorous training in order to be the best in gymnastics.
