This picture was taken from the boat cruise in Shanghai. I was completely blown away by the fact that Shanghai's entire downtown has been built in the last 20 years. Shanghai is a amazing city with a gorgeous skyline. This picture struggles to capture the beauty of the city.

I was also surprised that on this boat ride we passed a number of other boats carying coal, likely to power all of the lights of the city. Its interesting to think about how that contrasts with the beauty of the city.
