Course Descriptions
Business Japanese (JPN 326)
- Not open to native speakers of Japanese
- Prerequisites: JPN 412L or the equivalent with a grade of at least C
- Course Objectives:
- JPN 326 is a course focusing on those situations and events that occur
primarily in the daily business environment such as: formal introduction, interviewing, telephone skills, making an appointment, requesting or refusing a request, etc.
- Throughout the course, cultural concepts as they impact the business world will be introduced
- There will be several guest speakers
- Texts/Readings: Office Japanese by Takamizawa (1993)
- Grading/Requirements: (May vary) Vocabulary quizzes, Lesson quizzes, Homework, Attendance & participation, Oral exams, Final exam
