Course Descriptions

Second-Year Japanese I (JPN 412K)
  • Not open to native speakers of Japanese
  • Prerequisites: JPN 507 or the equivalent with a grade of at least C
  • Course Objectives:
    • The main objective of this course is to develop four communication language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and
      writing) at the intermediate level
    • Students will acquire not only knowledge about the language (grammar, vocabulary and expressions) but also competence in using the language through daily activities in communication
  • Texts/Readings: Yasu-Hiko Tohsaku, Yookoso! Vol. II, 2nd edition (Chapters 1-3)
  • Grading/Requirements: (May vary) Quizzes, Homework, Compositions, Tests, Oral performances, Group Skit, Final exam

  • Prerequisites: JPN 412K or the equivalent with a grade of at least C
  • Course Objectives:
