    Prerequisites
    • Three semesters of 6-hour Japanese courses: JPN 601D, 610D, and 611D
    • Before advancing to the major, students take a “bridge” course – JPN 317C – to prepare them for upper division Japanese.
    Major requirements
    • Twelve hours of upper-division Japanese
    • Three hours of Classical or advanced Japanese (JPN 322 or 330)
    • Six hours of Asian studies related to Japan
    • Capstone seminar: Asian studies 379
