Voluntary Trans-Atlantic Migrations: The Nigerian Experience with America Visa Lottery

This paper discusses migration as a concept that is not novel but ancient. Different instances of migration across the globe are also highlighted. The study further traces the origin of the America Visa Lottery and states the objectives of the host country. It also identifies the implication of migration on the host society and its effects on the country of origin. The study then identifies and explains different factors responsible for Nigerians clamoring for America Visa Lottery. Based on these findings, the paper concludes with specific recommendations to Nigerian citizenry, Nigerian Government and the World at large.
